Feedback
1)This task was very anxiety inducing to be honest i was shaking when my video came up to be assessed and my friends who acted in the video can vouch that i was a bit of a perfectionist when it came to recording the footage, we would count the amount of seconds each scene is just to make it extra sure that the timing was perfect, ironic considering the music was off, but in short it was fun for my first shooting and in the future i am determined to improve.
2) The feedback i recieved in class:
.My actor placement was on point
.lighting reflected the atmosphere of the origional scene
.scene aligned with the origional
.editing of music needs to align with the actors voices
.captures the awkwardness and joy of the origional
.height difference relates to the characters
.3) WWW: the scenes origional footage was up to point other than the sound of the water, emotions envoked in the scene was on point, low lighting worked well,
EBI- more retakes, focus on the scenes shot to ensure the actors arent looking at the camera, edit music closer to actors lip syncing and focus on adding set piece, i tried to add in the rubber duck but didnt fit,
4) I sent a text to both of my actors with what their lines were and all the shots needed in order to have a sort of idea of what i would be doing but ultimatel it didn not help much, my actors were truly helpful aswell reminding me when the camera was accidentally in the shot, during each scene we would collectively come together, watch the origional shot and do 3 practice takes before i would pick up the camera which gave me time to move them into a position which closer resembled the origional i also had to flip the video once it was fully editied as my bathroom is inverted to the origionalls and i wanted it to match.
5) Thinking technically, how could you improve your work for future videos? create more videos in order to progress in edting and filming, i have yet to film moving so i hope to experience the chllenge that will be and am looking forward to filming again.
6) Mise-en-scene is VERY important to the creation of film and media for highlighting the atmosphere of the scene, comunicating character relationships and even as way to allow an audience to relate.
https://youtu.be/ro1asnqR3Bs?feature=shared The scene starts out with a straight cut to an extreme close up of powders shoes, directly contrasting the original introduction of jinx within s1 ep 4 of arcane in which she and ekko are engaged in an opposing battle. In doing this the writers of Arcane cleverly convey the painful reminder of what could have been between these characters, Whilst also affirming Ekkos feelings no matter how hidden they once were in this universe and in turn shining a light on the contrast in experiences as ekko is given the privilege of being able to focus on his feelings and seek them out whereas in his original timeline he is consistently experiencing intense and traumatic hardships so he's not given the time to truly explore his emotions.Having all the other characters out of focus in this scene greatly contributes to the growing tension between both powder and ekko as the viewers are seeing how they see each other highlighting the level of admi...

1) Type up your feedback/comments from your teacher. fantastic production so engaging, genuine emotional impact, narrtive constructed beautifully wide variety of cinematography employed and generally labled accurately. pace of editing made it a little difficult to keep up with the label with font choice also contributing to this. crane shot- was it actually a crane shot?or would handheld be more appropriate? so creative in terms of framing and mise en scene 2) Type up your feedback from fellow students. music matched beautifully great job 3) Now reflect on your work and write your own summary of the comments and feedback you have received. Write three WWWs and three EBIs. WWW: effectively conveyed the emotion i wanted from the audience www- varied cinematography www- matched my script EBI- slowed down editing so the text was more visible EBI- explored more diverse locations EBI- more focus on mise en scene 4) Learner response: think about w...
