Sound analysis: blog tasks

 1) Find a film clip on YouTube that uses sound in an interesting way. Analyse the use of sound, making sure you use the key language we have learned about sound in film:

In the beginning of the scene we as an audience are made to believe that the sound is Non-diagetic when the 3 bank robbers exit the vehicle as there is no apparent movement or expressions that indicates that they heard the music having very focused and trained expressions, that was until our perception was altered by the appearance of the get away driver whom was wearing headphones the use of this prop allows us to now understand as to why the previous characters showed zero reaction to the song as only he could hear it making us acutely aware of the fact that the music was infact diagetic backed by the drivers enthusiastic dancing whilst waiting for the others in the car adding a layer of humour to a serious situation.The music was 100% Parallel throughout from the beginning shot being tense and cool to the car chase where the tempo speeds up adding to the tension the characters themselves would feel both parties hoping they somehow escape.Sound bridges were used quite frequently during the shots where the driver is singing sometimes the same note in 2 separate angles.Music played the most crucial element in scene however the sound effects lining up with the music created the vibe of almost a music video.
